So far I have tried to use the windows xp installation disk and redo my hard drive, but all it ever does is get to the "press any key to continue page" and then say the disk read error from there. Does anyone know any possible ways to fix my problem?

WinXP Pro SP1 Turn it on and it starts going through the POST then comes up with a black error screen, Disk Read Error. Press Alt Control Delete to restart. Do that and it restarts and ends up back at the same screen. Pressing F8 does nothing so she can't get into the Windows start options.
